Clash and mihomo
The original Clash established a rule-based proxy core and YAML configuration system; its project is no longer maintained. Clash Meta expanded protocol and routing support within the ecosystem and continued under the name mihomo. The core handles connections, DNS, and rule processing, while graphical clients manage configuration and integrate with the operating system. Being part of the Clash ecosystem does not mean every configuration field is interchangeable.
